Common questions

What is the passing score for the NHA phlebotomy exam?
390 on a scaled score range of 200 to 500. The exam has 120 questions, 100 of which are scored, and a 2-hour time limit.
What score do you need to pass the ASCP phlebotomy exam?
A scaled score of 400. The ASCP PBT is a computer adaptive test with 80 questions in 2 hours, so the score depends on the difficulty of the questions you answer correctly.
What is the passing score for the AMT RPT exam?
70 on a scaled range of 0 to 100. That is not 70% of the questions; the exam has 200 scored questions and a 2.5-hour time limit.
Is 390 on the NHA CPT a percentage?
No. NHA reports a scaled score so that the different exam forms it rotates are comparable. You cannot convert it directly into a number of correct answers.
